MESCON AS was founded in 1981 by Jan Myhrvold together with some partners. The main goal at the time was to act as an agent for quality products on the Norwegian market. The main product line for MESCON AS was safety control systems built and delivered by HIMA, as well as analytical systems and analysers from different suppliers. In 1986 MESCON AS was bought by InEx AS. In 1989 InEx was bought by Tillquist, and Jan bought back the name MESCON. The same year Jan started BOO INSTRUMENT AS in cooperation with BOO INSTRUMENT AB in Sweden. BOO very soon became the major supplier for safety control systems from HIMA to the onshore industry. Most of the applications and projects were developed in close cooperation with our clients and Jan, as he is an excellent problem solver.
