APT is a commercial company offering high quality analyses and consultancy services to the oil industry within the fields of petroleum geochemistry, biostratigraphy, production monitoring, sedimentology, structural geology and basin modelling.
APT was established in March 2000 and is owned by the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), one of Norways largest and leading research centres and a group of ex–Saga Petroleum employees. APT purchased the Saga Petroleum geochemistry and biostratigraphy laboratory facilities following the take-over of Saga Petroleum by Norsk Hydro.
APT is based at Kjeller, north-east of Oslo, Norway.
